First Pimple
Do you remember when you got your first pimple? How traumatic it was, and how you wanted to crawl into a hole and die? I have a younger sister who is in her second year of middle school. Last year, she woke up to an unwelcome discovery. Her first pimple. She was so frazzled, she didn’t even know how she was going to move on in her life. It was as if her little seventh grade life would no longer go on, just because she had a small zit on her face. She was convinced that she would not be able to go to school that day, based solely on the fact that someone might notice that sick thing on her face. Now by her reaction you might think that she had an overwhelming breakout overnight, and that her entire face was now dotted with pimples, but my friend, this is not the case. She had one. One little puny whitehead that once popped, was barely noticeable. Of course, we told her that she still had to go to school and that no one would even care about a little redness on her face, because everyone in seventh grade is having the same problem, and quite honestly they probably had way more to be worried about than her little spec. I just had to laugh remembering this life altering change in her life, and her realization that this incident would be repeated many more times in her life, especially during her middle school years.
